Royal Rangers Online Training Available!

Greetings Regional & District Training Coordinators,

First and foremost, I hope you are all well. The COVID-19 pandemic is nothing like I could have ever imagined. Prayers for all of you and your families during this time.

As I’m sure most of you know, the A/G National Office has been closed since end of business day on March 17 and won’t reopen until at least April 27 based on a county-level (and as of today, a statewide) “Stay at Home” order. Most everyone in the National Royal Rangers Office has been working remotely from home since the office was shut down.

Out of this time does come some opportunity. One of those opportunities being Royal Rangers leaders who are at home now having time to do Online Training. For those who are at home during this season, there might not be a better time to logon to https://royalrangers.com/training/online, click the “Royal Rangers Online Training System” link, and sign up for online courses!

So, I am emailing you today asking that you take time to promote Royal Rangers Online Training to leaders in your district. Please promote the online training page (https://royalrangers.com/training/online) and encourage guys to take a look at the courses offered!

These courses can be taken at a leader’s own pace. If they want to sit down and complete a course in one setting, they can do that. If they need to stop to go see about the kids and come back, they can do that as often as needed.

The first priority should be those leaders that you know that need to complete Ranger Safety. Any leader that you know of that is working on their SAFETY OLAL should be encouraged to complete the online Ranger Safety course now.

That being said, the CLE courses are certainly beneficial as well. Leaders working on their ADVANCED OLAL have 2 “Attended Continuous Learning Event or Action Camp” requirements for that level. One CLE course is required on the SILVER, GOLD, & PLATINUM levels of the OLT. This would be a great time for those leaders to get these requirements completed.

Please make a point of promoting Royal Rangers Online Training to leaders in your district. Many of these guys may never have more time to sit down at a computer and complete this training than they do now.

Blessings,

Gary Crites
National Royal Rangers Training Assistant
